Heart of a Spartan

Join the Peace Education Center and Run for Peace on May 2, 2010!

Run with the PEC at The Heart of a Spartan race, which will end with a run down the field at Spartan Stadium.

There are several ways to participate:

• Join the team by emailing peaceedcenter@gmail.com. There are three racing options: a one-mile fun run, 5k, and 10k distances.
• Recruit pledgers to sponsor our runners or to sponsor you!
• Make a donation to sponsor the team
• Come out and support us the day of the race: we need 20 volunteers to hand out water and otherwise support runners. Volunteers will receive a race t-shirt and a peace button as well as much love from the PEC! Email peaceedcenter@gmail.com with your name, email, and t-shirt size if you would like to volunteer.

Make sure if you register online to choose Peace Education Center in the drop down menu that follows Select Team Name (if any):

There is also an option that reads “YES! I want to make an additional contribution to the selected charity!” and you can select PEC frrom the options.

Please pass this note on to friends and family who like racing, walking, or Spartan football anyway, and invite them to be on our team. We’d love to have a large group of peaceniks out there.

We’ll be meeting before the race just to make sure we can all start together and perhaps wear matching peace gear.
