SUMMARY:Mother's Day for Peace
DESCRIPTION:Join the Peace Education Center for our fourth annual Mother’s Day program and fundraiser on Friday\, May 1\, from 7 to 9 pm at the Allen Neighborhood Center! \nBring your mom\, friends\, or just come as you are. It’ll be a fun night out with good music and a mix of entertainment that ties back to the original idea of Mother’s Day as a call for peace. \nJackalope will be playing live\, with their mix of twangy folk\, western swing\, and classic covers. We’ll also have a special appearance by Julia Ward Howe\, who originally imagined Mother’s Day as a call for peace\, plus performances from Audio Air Force with their take on classic radio-style storytelling. \nSnacks will be offered. Tickets: $25\, or 2 for $45. $10 for students.
