The Peace Education Center Turns 50! Join us to celebrate, reminisce, and sing songs of protest and solidarity.
Though we’ve been around much longer, it’s been 50 years since the PEC officially became a nonprofit. That’s a great excuse for a party!
Join us on November 1st at the University Lutheran Church in East Lansing (doors open at 6:30, program at 7). Dress in your best hippie clothes from 1975 (if you want), bring old photos or memorabilia to display – and bring your stories. We will have a time for PEC members and others to share – very short – quips about an event or protest or activity you remember from the last 50 years of working, protesting, taking action for peace and justice.
There will also be a concert/sing-along with Paul Tinkerhess, life-long peace activist and singer/songwriter based in Ann Arbor. Paul can tell you his stories, but we want to hear from you too.
This is a fundraiser for the PEC. Suggested donation of $20.
If you can’t attend but would like to support the PEC, you can donate here!
